Overview

Our team at Hotel Bardo Savannah is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Project Houseperson to assist our Housekeeping team in providing a clean, luxurious experience for our guests. This role is dedicated to deep cleaning and specialized maintenance projects, ensuring all areas of the property meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The Project Houseperson will focus on large-scale cleaning tasks, including carpet care, upholstery cleaning, and detailed upkeep of guest and back-of-house areas.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain guest and back-of-house facing areas to hotel standards
  • Perform deep cleaning projects such as carpet shampooing, upholstry cleaning, and floor care.
  • Conduct detailed cleaning in guest rooms, hallways, public spaces, and back of house areas on a scheduled or as-needed basis
  • Assist with preventative maintenance cleaning projects
  • Interact positively and professionally with all guests
  • Maintain the quality and consistency of guests’ experiences through proper maintenance and cleaning of specified areas
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to create a relaxing environment for guests

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance in an upper-scale hospitality environment preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Open schedule availability, including to work overnight as needed
  • Able to efficiently problem-solve guests’ requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Excellent presentation and grooming standards
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for providing an elevated experience for guests
  • Able to withstand various physical activities throughout the work day
