Overview

We are seeking a Maitre D' at Hotel Bardo Savannah, our recently opened luxury urban resort at the heart of Forsyth Park. This individual will be a key leader in creating unforgettable dining experiences, expertly managing reservations, curating an inviting atmosphere, and ensuring seamless service throughout every guest's dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests and ensure their satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
  • Manage reservations and seating to maximize service flow.
  • Address guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns with professionalism.
  • Build relationships with regular patrons and provide personalized service.
  • Oversee dining room setup, cleanliness, and ambiance.
  • Facilitate communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Monitor service to ensure efficiency, timeliness, and adherence to standards.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to update the team on menu changes, VIPs, and priorities.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise front-of-house staff to maintain high standards.
  • Manage reservations, inquiries, and emails with accuracy and respect.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Maitre D’ or in a similar leadership role within a fine dining restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines, and fine dining etiquette, preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to connect with guests and staff.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Resy and basic administrative tasks.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
